How to vote for Time for Handover.
A ballot with more than forty names on it is designed to be confusing. This page is the answer sheet. Print it, save it to your phone, and have it next to you when your ballot arrives.
Mark your ballot like this
Tap or click the card to open it full size, then save it or print it.
The names, in ballot order
Same information as the card, in text you can search, copy or read out at a branch meeting.
There are 21 councillor positions on the ballot. These are the twenty we are asking you to mark.
Three things that decide this
Check your details
If the union has your old address, your ballot goes to the wrong letterbox. Two minutes on the phone to the NSWNMA fixes it, and it is the single most useful thing you can do today.
Fill it in with the card open
Forty odd names is a lot to hold in your head. Have this card next to you, work down it, and post the ballot the same day so it does not end up under a pile on the bench.
Show one colleague
Only one in ten members voted last time. Sending this page to the person you work beside does more for us than anything we can post ourselves.
What do I do if I have not received my ballot?
Ballots are sent out by the Australian Electoral Commission, which runs this election. If yours has not turned up, you can ask them to send a replacement. It only takes a minute.
Email the AEC
Send an email to IEBevents@aec.gov.au
Put E2026/106 in the subject line
That is the reference for the NSWNMA election, so your request goes to the right place.
Include your details
Your full name, your NSWNMA membership number if you have it, and the postal address you want the ballot sent to.
Do it early. Voting closes on 26 October and a replacement ballot still has to go through the post.

Want a stack of these for your workplace?
We will post you printed how to vote cards for your tea room and noticeboard. Tell us where to send them.
